The Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood

Garth Brooks World Tour Opening Night - Rosemont, ILThe Lexington shows will mark Brooks’ first performance in Kentucky since May 1998, when he played three shows at the Rupp Arena during the Sevens tour. Coincidentally, his opener for those shows was none other than Yearwood, a full seven years before the two became engaged during a concert in Bakersfield, California.

“For those who show up, I hope we give you a show that makes you forget the ones that were in the Nineties,” Brooks said during a July press conference, which doubled as an announcement for his world tour.  Brooks’ long break he said was to allow him to leave the spotlight for more than a decade while he focused on raising his children, and his thanked his fans for their patience in his return to the state.
